In the same pan, add whole spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. Then, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Next, add a spoonful of ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears. Then, add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.

Now, add a spoonful of Kashmiri red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.

Add a cup of water and let the gravy simmer for 5 minutes. Then, add the fried fish and let it cook for another 10 minutes.

In a separate pan, heat ghee and add a pinch of sugar. Once it caramelizes, add it to the fish gravy. This will give a rich and sweet flavor to the dish.

Finally, add a cup of thick yogurt and mix well. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Your Katla Rezala is now ready to be served!
